Achrian district

At the first level of the photo, a cobbled street of the old town of Xanthi is visible and a child, a little girl, is at the end of it. In the middle of the photo, a high wall protects a house. On the left, the minaret from the Achrian Mosque, the oldest Muslim Mosque in Xanthi, is located next to the cypress tree that has survived to this day. In the background of the photo are the foothills of the Rhodope mountain range from where the north wind, the thrakias, descends.
