Pindarou Street, old Xanthi

The oil painting by the painter Irini Hadjisavvas depicts Pindarou Street, which leads to the eastern end of the Old Xanthi, next to the Kosynthos River. The buildings are houses with the characteristic sachnisi (projection of the upper floor). The depiction of nature plays a central role in the painting, as to the right of the paved road at this point is the Municipal Garden, while in the background the peri-urban forest can be seen. The painter, who studied under the well-known artist of Xanthi, Christos Pavlidis, mainly depicts with realism subjects such as landscapes, still life and portraits.
