In the center of the painting is the 1st Minority School of Xanthi, built in 1875 by Hatzis Emin Aga, the man who also built the Clocktower of Xanthi.<br \/>\nDimitris Stathopoulos (1946-2017) was born in Thessaloniki and lived in Xanthi. He was a faithful watercolorist with realist tendencies, sensitive to nature and tradition.
