I wish the mountains would get out of the way

The Athenians loved to sing and dance at the first opportunity. Among the most popular songs visitors could hear in the streets of Athens expressed the singer’s love for an Athenian woman: “I wish the mountains would get out of the way so I could see Athens / so I could see my love who walks like a goose”.
