The goats of Athens
The population of Athens increased tenfold during the reign of Otto (from 4,000 to over 40,000 inhabitants), but the city remained small compared to other European capitals. So, there were some sounds we could hardly connect with urban life, such as the goats grazing a short distance from the city centre, next to the ancient monuments.
